15 minutes

Member of the Month

Our members are V.I.P'S at Abstract Bodyworks. Keep checking this web page for member training videos and insights into how our clients are making a difference in the lives in as little as 15 minutes a week!

Buddy.JPGThe Abstract member of the month is a special friend of ours. Let me introduce Buddy Thomas to you. My family has known Buddy for over 45 years and he is like one of our own! This is not what makes Buddy our member of the month though- it is his huge determination and heart!!

Buddy was born 65 years ago with cerebral palsy and he has a hard time just getting around. Let me tell you though, this does not slow him down one bit. Twice a week Buddy rides his three wheel bike into workout at 7:00 a.m. It takes Buddy over an hour to get to Abstract and an hour to get back home. This is a drive and commitment not given today by very many. Even those with no disabilities. We are here to tell you he inspires us! Whenever I think I have it rough, I look to Buddy for inspiration, he is truly amazing. You know something else? I have never seen Buddy unhappy, he is always smiling.

This January, Olympia saw a couple of bad days of weather i.e. snow, ice and freezing rain. You think Buddy might not make the trip because of this? No way!  It took him over 2 hours to get there that Tuesday a.m., but he showed up anyway, ready to workout, which he did. So to Buddy we salute and would like to ask that if you see him around, wish him well and congratulate him on a job well done.

We should all strive to be more like Buddy and not sweat the small stuff!!

quaintI am proud to announce Abstracts first member of the month. Meet Quaint Doelger. Not only has Quaint made great changes in the short time that she has been training at Abstract, but her commitment to her program of change is remarkable.

Quaint has only been training at Abstract Bodyworks for a little over two months and has trained a total of 11 times. Quaints total training time? Only 2 hours and 20 minutes!! What has she seen? How about a 66% increase in her starting strength in just over 2 hours of training time. She is stronger, has more energy and feels great.

As incredible as this is, check this out- Quaint drives 160 miles round trip to train with us. Now that is COMMITMENT with a capital "C". Quaint's life has changed for the better in many ways since becoming stronger, but I will let her tell her story on the testimonial page later. Quaint is an inspiration to all those who say that they don't have the time to exercise. How would less than 30 minutes a week fit your time constraints?

By the way, did I mention that Quaint is 61 years young? Thats right! Age is not a factor in making changes. Tell your body to change with brief, intense workouts and it will make those changes no matter what your age is!!

Way to go Quaint. All of us at Abstract congratulate you on your success!Keep up the good work.
